So we have only been in beta a few days and we have already hit our first snag. Fortunately it is not a bug! :-) On the bug front
CompleteProject is looking pretty stable but, of course, it is still early days.
Our first probably is...user registration. It is well known in the software industry that some users hate to register. Understandably so. They don't know us, they don't who we are - why should they trust us with important, sensitive information like their email address?
Unfortunately, we can't just drop user registration all together because our first priority is security of the information stored in our databases and we cannot claim that infomation is secure unless we have a verified user base.
So what can we do? We want to make our user registration process even easier so we are going to remove it from the download process and add it to the installation process. During the installation, registration will be optional. If users choose not to register, they will be able to use the program for 30 days. During this time,
CompleteProject will not be allowed to connect to our databases but will still work locally. This gives users the chance to preview the product before they have to give away any sensitive information.
